Available now is this exquisite 1961 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II (Early C-Series). Rolls-Royce represents the elegance and craftsmanship of handcrafted and built automobile royalty in all aspects. For the lucky few these cars were available too, the representation of social and financial status was at the highest level. The Silver Cloud has long been a shining star in the classic Rolls-Royce history and has been represented in countless songs, shows, and movies such as American Gangster, The Saint, Mission Impossible, Beverly Hillbillies, Wild Angles, and House of Cards just to name a fraction of appearances.

We don’t have to tell you about this car’s elegance and opulence. Under the classic piano hinge style hood is the famous Rolls-Royce 6.2-liter V8 engine mated to an automatic transmission. The engine runs smoothly and quietly and has just recently had the fuel system and generator rebuilt and operating properly. This new 6.2-liter V8 ushered in a new era of quiet but powerful motors at Rolls-Royce, and the Silver Cloud II was the launching pad. Utilizing the increased displacement and dual SU carburetors, this successfully met the company’s standards for power. That level of ease and rolling opulence is continued with the power steering, large power brakes, and correct GM Hydramatic automatic transmission.

In the trunk you will find the original spare tire and tool kit, but most impressive to us was the fact that even the original plug-in service flashlight is present with the cord still factory wrapped around the handle.

We acquired the vehicle from the heir of an estate and learned that the vehicle has been in the estate’s private collection for over 30 years since being acquired from a museum in which it was on display for over 20 years. The Rolls-Royce went through a restoration during that time frame and had been driven less than 50 miles since completion. In other words, the Rolls Royce has been off the road and out of the elements for nearly 50 years.
