Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to present this very clean 1963 Chevrolet Biscayne. Powering this full-size heavy-hitter is a 409-base 482 cubic inch V8 sending power through a 3-speed automatic TH-400 transmission that was rebuilt by T.S.I. Our back sits a Ford 9″by Strange Engineering with 4.56 gears on a spool. The roof, rear quarters, firewall, floor, and doors are all steel, while the front and rear bumpers, rear trunk lid, hood, and fenders are all fiberglass units to bring the weight down on this massive powerhouse. All the glass is believed to be original, which makes this classic capable of being a street car without worrying about fading or cracking lexan. The interior was done by Midwest Hotrods and makes this racecar look very well finished.

The engine was originally built in 2007, and then refreshed in 2014. Since then, roughly 40 1/4 mile passes have been made. The Biscayne was brought out for the occasional car show (trailered both ways). The suspension was overhauled with tubular A-arms by Fatman Fabrications. All in, this Chevy is an absolute beast, and is capable of mid-10 second 1/4 mile passes without breaking a sweat. Don’t miss an opportunity to own such a high-powered classic.
