The car was bought new in New Mexico. It was there about half of its life. Then brought to Arizona, and driven untill parked about 20 years ago. About a year ago a buddy of mine went and picked it up, and started going thru it. Points plugs cap wires, ect . Changed the oil, cleaned out the gas tank, went thru the brakes ect. The goal was to make it run drive stop. And it did that in style. Runs great, stops like it should. Goes down the road fine, but could use some better tires. There ok but slightly out of round. The engine runs great, the trans shifts like it should. He worked on the top a little and now it goes up and down like it should. Does of couse need a new top, as far as the canvas goes. The body and metal is in great shape, inter and outer. The floor pans are good. The truck pan could use replaced, or at least patched. The back seat is surprisingly pretty good. The front needs re- upholstered. Bottem line is you can either drive it like it is and say hay it more or less original. Or you can restore it, to a 60k car or more, or you could rat rod it, with a few adds.
