Up for bid is an absolutely immaculate, always stored inside a climate controlled garage 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II Adam-12 pilot episode replica sedan powered by a 318 2bbl V8, and her three speed automatic transmission. She was built in Detroit, Michigan at the Lynch Road Assembly Plant. I am the third owner of this car, since 1967, that was originally sold in Leesburg, Virginia brand new. I purchased her when I was fifteen years old in June of 2000 in it’s original condition from the original owners son. I had her restored from front to back on a rotisserie with a body shop in June of 2001 in Decatur, Illinois to it’s current condition. It’s original color was code #DD-1 13043, Light Blue Poly.
She was disassembled from front to back. Not one corner was cut, nor was one bolt left untouched. She still has her matching #’s engine, transmission and interior, including her seats and carpet. Her engine and transmission were completely restored. Original mileage is 45,938 miles, purchased with 42,000 miles. Her undercarriage and trunk during the restoration had professional underbody paint applied at the same body shop. Her headliner is factory. All of her chrome is factory, not one inch is restored or retouched, inside and out. The only thing I have ever replaced was her exhaust system. I replaced the original exhaust system with a dual Flow-Master “tucked underneath the back bumper” system. Very quiet rumble, inside and out.
This car is equipped with factory air-conditioning, twin Trio T-2’s that are LAPD correct that never saw service, including the Federal Signal CP-25 Speaker and the Federal Signal PA-20 siren box that also never saw service. I still have her original 14″ wheels and tires, along with her original 14 ” hub-caps. Her police radio is a Motorola Motrac unit properly installed in the back right portion of her trunk, alongside a BearCat 10 channel scanner to feed full-time live radio calls into the front radiohead and Motorola speaker for car shows. The Motrac and the CP-25 will also feed live radio calls for car shows.
She is a parade/car show heart-throb that will get a comment and thumbs-ups every five feet, even at the stop lights. She has won so many car show awards for authenticity and appearance. The only reason this car is up for auction is I’m amassing too many cars in a shop that is too small to hold all of them. This is the smoothest running, coolest running, smoothest riding car you will ever drive. She is one I will forever and sincerely miss. This car taught me everything. Not bidding on her to bring her to your warm garage would be a major disservice to yourself. This is going to be a hard 25 year friendship to part with. Contact me with any questions.
