Selling my 1968 Cyclone GT, the car has been totally gone thru. Motor, trans, brakes, etc. all done in the last year. Runs like a new car, shifts perfect. Power Steering and Brakes.
Engine- 390 Cu In engine gone thru this year, it runs awesome! NO LEAKS!
Transmission- Automatic, totally rebuilt in the last year. NO LEAKS!
Body- Car came from California, spent most of it’s life babied there. NO RUST and never had any, all original panels. Probably the nicest body you will ever find.
Paint- Guessing about 50% id original paint, both sides have been painted at least 20 years ago. I would rate it a 7 out of a 10, it has some imperfections, chips that were touched up with a brush. Not perfect but driver quality.
Chrome- Rechrome bumpers, all the chrome looks excellent. Only pitted chrome is next to the rear quarter glass on both sides.
Interior- Seats, headliner, carpet looks like they have been done in the last 5 years. Power windows work great, the main switch on the drivers door needs rebuilt or replaced as you have to push hard on the button for the drivers window. The interior is a 8.5 out of a 10.
Note- Marti report says Order type- INTRODUCTORY SHOW UNIT, I asked why and was told this car was the one used for all the brochure Pictures and TV ads. Notice also it is the 131 car produced in 1968, a really LOW number!
Note- Mufflers/tailpipes are older and will need replaced at some point.
