For sale is a true ONE OWNER 1968 Pontiac Firebird Convertible. The story of this vehicle is that in 1968 it was purchased at Allison Pontiac in San Jose, CA by a local lady. She owned the car for the majority of her life and on her 80th birthday her family restored it for her as a surprise in 2010. The family made a few dvd?s documenting the restoration and the surprise. She continued to drive the car until she passed away. As she got older, she bumped into a poll as I’m sure you have noticed. It?s a locally owned, California firebird with a beautiful story. She did order the car from the dealer fully loaded with every single option they offered. It has power steering, power brakes, A/C, power windows, power top, tilt steering, automatic transmission in the center console and a deluxe interior. It would be very difficult finding a one owner Firebird convertible with all the options this one has! The vehicle is beautiful inside and out. The exterior is finished in its original Verdoro Green with a Ivory white interior. A very rare and a highly sought after color combo among Firebirds. The deluxe interior of this vehicle is virtually flawless and in great condition. The Tonneau cover is in good shape. Exterior is in excellent condition. Paint is deep and glossy. As the lady got older she bumped into a few things. But review the photos and videos and see for yourself. White top in excellent condition and working properly. All windows are currently functional. I believe it has the original matching number engine and transmission which were both rebuilt with very few miles driven since. 400 cid V8 paired with an automatic transmission. Mechanically it runs and drives great. The motor is very healthy, sounds great and has plenty of power. It is fully loaded with everything under the hood. A/C needs a service. There are no known fluid leaks. This has a fisher body unit number 745 built in September of 1968. This car comes with extensive service records, including everything related to the restoration, all the parts they ordered, recites, checks they paid, and much more. They even have photos of the whole process, and how the car looked before it was restored! Always a rust free, real accident free car. It has recently been serviced at Wayside garage. They did a general service to the motor as well as a transmission service and reseal. BFG white wall tires are like new. Original CA front and back plates with the original dealer plate frame.
