Finished from the factory in Special Yellow (paint code WT6066), this car is one of only 109 GT500 KRs built in that color. Of those 109, just 43 were ordered with an automatic transmission — putting this particular car among roughly 4% of all GT500 KRs produced, and making it one of the rarest configurations of the model.
The original numbers-matching 428 Cobra Jet V8 remains in the car. The car also retains its factory power steering, power disc brakes, and the Tilt-Away steering wheel, which swings out of the way for easier entry and exit. The car is accompanied by a Marti Report verifying its factory build details, a reproduction bill of sale, complete service records, the original spare tire and jack, and most importantly, the original factory build sheet.
This GT500 KR was originally purchased new by John Oak O’Connor of Jonquière, Quebec. O’Connor kept the car for over two decades before selling it in 1989 to Sylvain Provençal of Lévis, Quebec — a dedicated Mustang collector and the owner of Mustang International Restorations. After enjoying the car for several years, Provençal sold it to Gilles Bossé of New Brunswick, who then commissioned Mustang International to perform a complete rotisserie restoration. Bossé retained ownership for many years before the car passed to John Scotti, from whom the current owner acquired the vehicle.
The current owner purchased it from the Montreal dealership seven years ago and has kept it in his collection with annual professional servicing. Paint Protection Film was applied prior to delivery to help preserve the restoration. The car is accompanied by a Marti Report verifying its factory build details, a reproduction bill of sale, complete service records, the original spare tire and jack, and the original factory build sheet.
