Offered for sale is a 1966 Mercury Comet Caliente. The complete grille, front bumper, rear bumper, belt-line trim, and lower vinyl roof trim has already been sold. 289 V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. No smoke. No unusual noises. The automatic transmission slips. Drum brakes work. All windows roll up and down. Factory rims and hub-caps. Tires holding air and have tread remaining. The windshield was cracked and I removed. A new re-pop front windshield from Classic Auto Glass from another project car is included with the car. All gauges, accessories, and lights work with the exception of the stock AM radio. The front fenders and hood are currently off the car, but are included in the sale. The front toe boards and front floor pans are rusted out and need to be replaced. Rear floor pans may also need to be replaced.
