Very special and highly optioned 1965 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback, originally built at Ford’s San Jose, California assembly plant and sold new through Kott and Smolar Ltd., 336 W. Anaheim Blvd., Wilmington, California. The car has remained in California.
Most importantly, the car retains its original Ford window sticker, which documents the factory configuration and options. Original sticker price was approximately $3,527.50, a substantial amount for a Mustang in 1965.

It was Ford’s factory performance-oriented handling/suspension option, making this a much more unusually equipped Mustang than the typical 289 Fastback. Faster K code steering box, Shelby front sway bar, stiffer rear leaf springs, sport shocks…all from the factory. Incredibly rare. Less than 50 fastbacks ever made had this option.
The car still retains its original blue interior and has a great honest, vintage character. This is not a newly assembled reproduction of a desirable Mustang—it is an actual California-built Fastback with its original documentation and a very interesting factory option combination.
A substantial amount of mechanical work has been performed in recent years, and receipts/documentation are included.
