Beautiful 1967 Sunbeam Alpine V. Considered one of the most comfortable British sports cars you can buy and one of the most enjoyable to drive this little Sunbeam gets attention and is a pleasure to drive.
It was restored back in 2014 and has the original 1725cc engine. I have swapped out the inferior American Weber carburetor intake manifold for the vastly superior British design. New Weber 32/36DGV carb. 4 speed manual transmission WITH overdrive option. Overdrive lowers RPM in 3rd and 4th gears by 500 rpm’s which makes this a really nice cruiser. 12 gal fuel tank. Averaging 35mpg.
Leather interior is in very nice shape. It’s a very comfortable car to drive. I’m 6’ and 270 lbs and it’s not cramped at all. Plenty of leg room if you can believe it. One of the best parts of the Sunbeam is it’s telescopic steering wheel. Electric radiator fan. Has custom wood dash from restoration. Top is in lovely shape (small tear in front corner along metal edge that does NOT leak), great tires, all electric in good working order. Glass in great shape. Tires in good shape.
I’m not eager to sell but thought I’d see if anyone is interested as I’m ready for a different car (60’s Cadillac perhaps). Such a wonderful car and Sunbeams are not very common although parts for them are easily and inexpensively sourced. Can drive home as is.
